7.11. Les contingents américains lors du SOULÈVEMENT DES BOXERS À PÉKIN en 1900

Avec l’assentiment tacite de l’impératrice douairière Tseu-Hi, qui assiste impuissante au dépiècement de la Chine par l’Occident, la société secrète des Boxers massacre missionnaires blancs et convertis chinois. Le quartier des Légations étrangères est assiègé pendant cinquante-cinq jours par les Boxers, puis délivré par un corps expéditionnaire international le 13 août 1900.

Un officier attaché à l’Ambassade américaine sauve une Lady anglaise et repousse l’assaut des Boxers sur les barricades. Tim McCoy dans une de ses rares apparitions non-westerniennes.

1963

Harry), Jerome Thor (cpt. Andy Marshall), Nicholas Ray (Edwin Hurd Conger, ambassadeur américain). – La concession internationale comprend trois mille civils et quatre cents soldats, parmi lesquels les « Marines » américains du major Matt Lewis. Aidé par Sir Arthur Robertson, Lewis fait sauter l’arsenal des Boxers afin de gagner du temps et démoraliser l’ennemi dont on repousse de plus en plus difficilement les attaques. Après cinquante-cinq jours de lutte, les assiégés sont sauvés in extremis par l’arrivée d’un corps expéditionnaire.
